There are no goals to be achieved in Meditation Mind is always seeking or desiring. Discontent is the very nature of the mind. It is always after achieving one thing or another, In meditation also, mind can make its own goals or ambitions to be achieved. Meditation has nothing to do with any sort of achievement or any goal to be attained. Meditation is all about understanding and witnessing the mind which is always after achieving some thing. In meditation we don't chase any desire but we witness our desires. Meditation is all about dis-identifying with our desires. We don't entertain any desire of the mind. But we witness these desires and go beyond the mind. If someone is chasing any goal in the meditation then it simply means that he is still being fooled by the mind. Mind is a very cleaver phenomena and it can fool us in many ways.
Always be as much as aware as you can. Bring more awareness in small day to day activities and enjoy your work. Let there is more creativity rather than efficiency in the work. Remember - When we chase any thing in life then our attention is in the future which means we are missing the present moment and life is in the present moment and meditation is the art of living life in the present moment. Be Aware and Present in this moment and be thankful to existence. |
